I like to surround myself with reminders... I have a pretty print in my house that says, "It's what's inside that counts" Maybe it's the artist in me, but those type of little things around that I see throughout the day really help remind me. And your little boy is such a little cutie. :)

Oh Julie! What a great post! It is such a treat to live in the moment with joy! God is forever present and I believe He is filled with joy when we acknowledge His presence and choose to live in joy! It is often a choice to make and I can just picture you modeling joy to your son this morning,even in the heat!

SURRENDER! That is my word of the week (and next week).
*SURRENDER the unexpected selling of our rental house;
*SURRENDER where we are going to live;
*SURRENDER the unexpected toothache that turned into a root canal;
*SURRENDER the 2nd mammogram;
*SURRENDER the 100 eye masks we have to make for the women's retreat;
*SURRENDER all the birthdays this month and the cost!
The list could go on and on, but by the Grace of God, I SURRENDER!! :)

I can feel God the strongest when I am able to "serve" others. A group of us got together to surprise our friend with a clean house and God filled us all up. It is such an amazing, joyful feeling.

This blog speaks loudly to my heart this week. I feel a change, a internal transformation, but can't quite put my finger on it. I find myself questioning my normal routine, questioning the path, looking for direction in the path I am on. To sum it up, I feel turmoil and can't quite explain it. So I am trying to focus on turning my doubt to faith. Trusting that God is working within me. He is preparing me for that path ahead and I have to trust with certainity that He is clear of my path and will show me the way. I want answers, but must be patient... sometimes that is tough. All the while, I feel so blessed to live my life and aim to slow down, and take things one step at a time.
